Believe in Yourself.
Here we go again... lose weight, get out of debt, drink less, get fit, get a new job. The list goes on and on. Did you know that of the 45% of Americans who usually make New Year's Resolutions, only 8% are actually successful?
One reason could be that the New Year's Resolution is win or lose, without a plan or strategy to reach the finish line
So, prepare for success by setting goals instead of resolutions. Take some time to evaluate and prioritize your intentions and objectives for the future. Be sure to write them all down. Dr. Gail Mathews, Ph. D. from the Dominican University, did a comprehensive research study and found three key elements to successful goal setting:
- Most significantly, those with written goals achieved almost 50% more of their goals than those who did not write them down
- A public commitment to a goal
- Accountability to a friend, family member, mentor
