Janet Andrews, MA is the Lead Coach & Resume Writer for ‘Interns over 40.’ For the last 17 years, she has provided Executive Career Consulting, Job Search Support and Resume Writing Services for hundreds of clients nationwide in multiple industries. Her passion is helping individuals in transition accelerate their job search and create unseen employment opportunities by teaching strategies and tools to obtain word of mouth referrals, tap into the hidden job market and uncover unadvertised job openings.
Additionally, Janet specializes in helping clients identify and communicate their unique gifts, talents, and expertise to create a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Janet earned a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana. For over 20 years, Janet has studied, researched and applied the most cutting edge marketing concepts and business development strategies to help her clients develop the skills and confidence needed for the growth and success they seek.
Earlier in her career, Janet currently held management positions including Vice President of Client Services, Director of Training and Development, and Senior Career Consultant for international outplacement firms and career management companies. She is the current owner of Andrews Consulting Services and former owner of Applied Management Consultants, where she provided Executive Coaching to several large corporations, worked with numerous individual Career Coaching/Resume Writing clients, and enjoyed teaching Marketing Training programs as a Continuing Education Provider in the psychology field.
BIO For Rebecca Skov
Rebecca Skov is a Certified Professional Resume Writer who has been employed in human resources, recruitment and career counseling for close to two decades. She is an expert in recruitment, employment counseling, outreach, and community relations.
In 2003, she launched a very successful recruitment and retention program for UC, San Diego, the Partner Opportunities Program. This program provides assistance and support in the employment search for spouses and partners of faculty candidates and appointees and has provided employment support and career counseling to over 150 clients from diverse employment backgrounds.
In 2003, Ms. Skov also founded and has since served as the Director of the Southern California Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (HERC). The mission of HERC is to support the efforts of each of its member institutions to recruit and retain outstanding faculty, administrators, and staff through the sharing of information and resources.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Skov worked as an Engineering and Technical recruiter at UC, San Diego where she was responsible for qualifying candidates in a variety of research and administrative settings throughout the UCSD community. She also held various positions as a Human Resources Generalist and Recruiter in the fields of finance, administration and law in the high technology private sector in San Diego.
In 2007, Ms. Skov launched a successful consulting career, providing career counseling services to a diverse group of job seekers in the San Diego community. Her services include; interviewing techniques, resume and cover letter development, networking tips and job seeker workshops which focus on strategies for launching a successful job search.
Rebecca is a member of the national HERC (www.nationalher.org) advisory board, providing input on the future direction of the national organization. She also serves as the Committee Chair for the National HERC marketing subcommittee, tasked with identifying the best advertising and partnership resources to drive candidates to the HERC employment website. Rebecca is a member of several professional associations including, the San Diego Recruiters Roundtable and the Professional Association of Resume Writers. Ms. Skov holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona and she also has her Human Resources Management Certification from UC, San Diego.
