Google Maps introduced the Street View Trikes in 2009 to access hard-to-reach locations. And someone's got to ride the bike and take the photos. It's not an easy job to get or an easy job to do since the nine-foot Google trike weighs about 250 pounds.
It can be a team effort to push the trike uphill while getting photos with the 360 degree camera. But what a great gig - exploring trails, college campuses, tourist attractions.
As Google says, "we can trike anywhere you like."

I wait for the day where all the world will be covered by StreetView. Google work hard and thus it deserves to be the giant it is.
