It is absolutely essential to research an employer before an interview. The interviewer will often ask questions such as "What do you think you can bring to the company?" or "Why do you think you would be right for the job?" - How can you answer any of these without knowing exactly what kind of company you are applying to work in? And, of course, employers want people who are passionate about what they do and excited by the possibility of working for them - the first step to showing this is in showing that you have done your homework!
