I have had a career in the Printing industry for over 30 years. As this Industry is Changing and Print shops are closing at an astounding rate, I have found myself un-Employed. I am Proficient as a Buyer / Purchasing for Large printing Companies.
ReplyDeleteI would imagin that the next step would to find a position as a Print Buyer in a Marketing Department at a Large company.
I just do not know where to look or what position to look for.
So far, I have found nothing.
Any Ideas as to where to look and what position to look for?
I have so much knowledge in the Printing and Purchasing, it would be a shame to waste it, and I so far am refusing to ask for unemployment as there are 27 Million other People on it already in the state of California.
My advice is to look beyond the printing industry unless it is a true love. According to www.bls.gov/OCO the printing industry will continue to shrink. There will be continual pressure to lower wages and employment. To become a buyer in another industry you will need to network. Write down everyone you know and everyone they know to try and find the link to the next career. Good luck.
